When I was young I had an active imagination. I still remember some of the inventions and ideas I came up with. But what I really remember is how wonderful it felt to be acknowledged for how creative my ides were. A friend’s father would greet me with a warm smile and the same inquiry each time he saw me, “Hi Gayle, what great idea have you come up with this week?”

When I look back I can see how his continued interest in my ideas and my feeling heard for who I really was, gave me permission to think out side of the box. Even today this continues to impact my life in many positive ways. I feel much gratitude toward him.

In an Energy Medicine perspective, it is important in the healthy development of the 5th, the throat charka, for a person to be able to freely speak ones truth.

Allowing for time to imagine and dream out loud supports your child’s inner freedom to think, dream and be all of who they are.
